LAHORE Vogue clinched the November Cup Polo here at the Lahore Polo Clubs Aibak Ground on Sunday. Vogue rattled Sherwood right from the start and hammered nine goals - in addtion to half a gaols handicap margin. The losing side managed just five. Hamza Mawaz Khan played pivotal role in Vogues win as he converted eight of the nine goals while Jawad Jamil Malik hit one goal after in a long chase in the last chukker of the match. Mian Shahzad Aziz and Mian Khurrum Munir shared two goals each for Sherwood while the fifth came from Anas Sheikh. Hamza hit every shot in the book and five out of the eight were field goals. In the end, chief guest Dr Mujahid Kamran, Vice Chancellor Punjab University, gave away the winning trophy to the Vogue team. Earlier, Shah Shamyl ALam-led Lahore Chatkhara left Men of Steel stunned in the subsidiary final by 11-1/2 to 4 goals. Shamyl single-handedly converted eight goals for LC to leave Men of Steel riders high and dry. He showed how good class. Ibrahim Akbar, Imran Malik and Syed Husnain Shah shared one goal each in Chatkharas goal spree. From the losing side, Malik Ahmed Hayat Noon and Nafees Barry got one goal each while Kasim Ahmed Khan scored two. The matches were supervised by Najor Babar Mahmood and Shah Shamyl Alam, Ahsan Khan and Mian Hussain Iftikhar.
