KAMALIA-Graveyards in Kamalia have become hideouts for the drug addicts and street criminals and the district government take effective measures to check the practice.

Chairman Overseas Trust Toba Tek Singh, Member Punjab Overseas Commission District Chapter Makhdoom Tariq Mahmoodul Hassan stated while talking to media the other day.

He commented that the graveyards of Kamalia, especially Eidgah Khaira Shaheed, Mahmood Bhatti, Fatehpur, Darbar Roshan Shah, General Bus Stop and Maikana-Wali-Chungi have become favourite places even during the daytime where drug addicts can be seen in every corner. He stated that marijuana, opium and even heroin are being used by the youth overtly. He alleged that drug addiction has crept into the youth and has been pushing young generation to the brink of destruction. He urged that the police need to accelerate action against the drug addicts and drug-pushers without any pressure and favour to protect the youth from deterioration.
