Kandhkot - A comprehensive security plan was chalked out by Kashmore police on Tuesday ahead of the arrival of chehlam of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA).

In this connection, Kashmore Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Bashir Ahmed Brohi chaired a high-level meeting here at his office, which was attended by all concerned officials. According to the plan, more than 2,000 police personnel would be deployed along various routes of the Kashmore district through which the processions are scheduled to pass.

Brohi directed all the DSPs, SHOs and other officials to properly monitor all the activities across the district. He also instructed police to increase patrolling in the city.

Kashmore Police chief told media that a heavy contingent of police would be deployed across the district to thwart any untoward incident during the Chehlam processions.  “While deployment of police commandos atop of buildings situated on processions’ routes would be mandatory,” he added.

The SSP also held a meeting with various religious scholars, and asked them to fully cooperate with each other as well as police and other law enforcement agencies in order to ensure that the Chehlum passed off peacefully. He assured them foolproof security during processions.
