ISLAMABAD - President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani were determined to fully implement the resolution adopted in the All Parties Conference (APC) recently held here in Islamabad and it was further decided that no new parliamentary committee would be constituted to oversee its implementation. Sources in the government informed TheNation that in a series of meetings held over a week or so the issue came under threadbare discussion at the top level in the ruling PPP and it was a unanimous decision that the APC resolution should be implemented in true letter and spirit. Before the troika meeting (President, PM and COAS) here on Friday, both President Zardari and PM Gilani had a one-on-one meeting wherein the relations with coalition partners, return of MQM in government and other related issues came up for discussion. On the issue of formation of a parliamentary committee for oversight on the implementation of the APC resolution, both the leaders had agreed not to constitute any new committee.
