LAHORE - Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (Women Wing) Punjab held a protest demonstration against the power outages, price-hike and increasing POL prices in front of Press Club on Friday. Saloni Bukhari, president PTI (Women Wing) Punjab led the demonstration, while party women leaders Dr Nousheen Hamid Miraj, Talat Naqvi, Shehnaz Parveen, Sadia Sohail, Ayesha Khalid, Aneela Malik along with dozens of activists also took part in the protest. They were carrying placards and banners inscribed with slogans against the government for not resolving the serious issues of energy and controlling the increasing prices, especially the prices of daily use items. PTI leaders said that masses were desperate, as they could not afford a single meal in the current circumstances. They claimed that the Benazir Income Support Programme and Watan Card were an eyewash. They alleged that Zardari-led PPP as well as the PML-N leadership were busy in plundering the nation. PTI leaders said that the incumbent rulers pay no taxes, while transfer the burden of their luxurious lifestyle on the poor masses.
