OUR STAFF REPORTER SIALKOT - The Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA) has become a big and chronic defaulter of Gepco, TheNation learnt here Friday. According to the concerned officials, the Sialkot TMA was allegedly adopting the delaying tactics in making payment of Rs13 million outstanding arrears due to some unknown reason. Gepco district officials told the newsmen that the final disconnection notice had been served to TMA and its power connections would be disconnected if the early payment of the dues would not be paid. The officials added that the Sialkot police and Pasrur TMA were also the Gepco defaulters of Rs1 million each, in this regard. They said the Gepco was suffering from financial crisis due to prolonged non-payment of Rs257 million by the defaulting consumers.
