KARACHI - The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) security delegation Monday inspected the facilities and safety arrangements at the Sunset Club in Defence ahead of their proposed women's cricket team's tour to Pakistan later this month.

The four-member BCB delegation headed by head of security Maj(R) Hossain Imam with Lt Col Md Rafiqul Islam, DIG Mejbahuddin, Additional DIG Md Majharul Islam and Bangladesh High Commission security advisor in Islamabad Mirza Ezazur Rehman inspected ground, dressing room, dining room area, gymnasium accommodation and other arrangements at the venue which also got boarding and lodging facilities. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) security advisor Col (R) Azam and senior manager National Stadium Arshad Khan also accompanied the BCB delegation and briefed them on different aspects of security arrangements being made for the tour.

Later, the BCB delegation officials got the briefing from Sindh Home Department officials including Deputy Secretary Hafeez Abbasi and SSP South Farooq Awan at Tughlaq House. After two-day stay in the city, the delegation left here for Lahore on their second leg of the tour. During their stay in Lahore, delegation was expected to meet PCB chairman Shaharyar M Khan, executive committee chairman Najam Sethi and COO Subhan Ahmed.

If BCB delegation cleared the tour, Bangladesh women's team will play three Twenty20 Internationals and as many One-Day Internationals in Karachi and Lahore against Asian Games gold medalist Pakistan between September 27 to October 8.
