ISLAMABAD - A sensational century by Aun Abbas helped Islamabad Region thrash AJK by 107 runs in the Inter Region U-19 One-Day Tournament 2015-16 round four Group-C match played here at Diamond Cricket Ground on Monday.

Islamabad Region, batting first, posted a massive total of 253-7 on the board in 50 overs. Aun batted brilliantly and slammed superb 96-ball 100 runs, hitting 8 fours and 2 sixes while Muzamil Shah contributed 64 and Umer Nawaz 38 runs. Hamdan and Awais took two wickets each. In reply, AJK team was bundled out for 146 in 46.1 overs. Faisal Shah made 40 runs for the losers. Asjad Anwar ripped through AJK batting claiming 6-33 and Najam 3-17.

At National cricket ground, Faisalabad Region defeated Peshawar Region by 59 runs in the high-scoring match. Peshawar, batting first, hammered 319-3 in the allotted overs. M Umair hit 136 off 122 balls, studied with 9 fours and 4 sixes while Ali Raza contributed 56 and Shahid 43 runs.

In reply, Peshawar team was all out for 260 in 47.4 overs. Hamza Khan superb ton failed to lift his side. Nabi Gul made 59 and Asadullah 34 for the losers. Asad Raza took 3-40 while Shahid and Ahmed Safi picked two wickets each. At Bhutto Ground, Fata Region inflicted 7-wicket upset victory on mighty Karachi Region.

Karachi, batting first, was bundled out for 178 in 38.4 overs with Aziz scoring 41 and Kashif 30. Hayatullah got 4-47, Sameen Gul 3-43 and M Tahir 3-32.

Fata achieved the target in 36.1 overs losing just three wickets. Umer hammered unbeaten 65 and Samiullaha unbeaten 50. Omer captured all the three wickets for the losers.
