The PML-N will sweep the upcoming local government elections and candidates contesting election on electoral sign of lion will form district government in Multan with heavy margin, Federal minister for food security and research Malik Sikandar Hayat Bosan said.

Addressing a public gathering here in his constituency, he said that the PML-N would be supported by the public and even alliance of all opposition parties could not defeat it. He said that the opponents disappeared from the ground which proved that they only remembered people in the days of elections. "They spend remaining time in getting bails from courts to prevent arrests in the corruption cases," he maintained. He said that those claiming that the PML-N government was subjecting them to political victimization were totally wrong as they committed massive corruption when they were in power and now they were facing the consequences of that corruption.

He said that the top priority of Nawaz government was to resolve the problems being faced by the people at their threshold. He added that all promises made by him with the residents of constituency were being fulfilled and new sewerage lines were being laid besides construction of link roads in rural union councils.

OPERATION AGAINST ILLEGAL SLAUGHTER HOUSES: The special task force launched a grand operation against illegal slaughterhouses in walled city area and sealed 12 shops besides taking huge quantity of unfit for health meat from there on Monday. The team was consisted of health, live stock and town administration officials and it raided the illegal slaughter houses along with heavy police contingents. The AC city and Director Food Multan Malik Ataul Haq said that the animals were being slaughtered in streets illegally and cases were sent to concerned police for action. He declared that no one would be allowed to pollute the city by slaughtering animals in city area or doing the business their remains.

He declared that the city would be cordoned off and all animals being brought for illegal slaughtering would be confiscated. He urged upon the citizens to help district administration locate anti-social elements involved in manufacturing of counterfeit items.
