Karachi: Sindh High Court today ordered to exclude the names of the leaders of Voice for Baloch Missing persons, Mama Qadeer and Farzana Majeed from ECL. Division Bench consisted of Justice Ahmed Ali Sheikh and Justice Farooq Ali Shah heard the case.

Attorney of defendant, Wazeer Khoso told BBC that he took the stance that Mama Qadeer is a peaceful and law abiding citizen. He was being offloaded at Jinnah Airport in March this year but reasons were never told.

In an application it was stated that Mama Qadeer and Farzana Majeed raise their voices for rights of missing persons but it does not mean that they are against the state.

Statement submitted by Federal Interior Ministry and federal Investigation Authority (FIA) stated that Mama Qadeer has been involved in activities against state, he cannot be allowed to travel abroad. Deputy Attorney blamed that Mama Qadeer has been involved in provoking the youth against Pakistan Army and Federal government.  

Advocate Wazeed Khoso stated that if he talks about his rights within the law of Pakistan, it does not mean that he is retaliating against Pakistan Army.    

Court asked Depurt Attorney that is there any case against Mama Qadeer ? On which Deputy General remained silent, henceforth Court ordered that he is a peaceful and free citizen and he cannot be prohibited from travelling abroad.

Earlier the Chairman of Voice for Baloch Missing Persons, Mama Qadeer has said that government of Pakistan is not allowing him to travel to America and he was informed by the authorities that his name is in Exit Control List (ECL).

He stated that he was invited by a Sindhi community in New York for a convention, for which American Embassy had issued five years visa to him and Farzana Majeed .
