LAHORE - Tevta signed an agreement with University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences (UVAS) here yesterday at TEVTA Secretariat to offer short course of Meat Technology. Three month duration course of meat technology will be started at University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences (UVAS), main campus. This agreement was signed by Chairperson TEVTA Irfan Qaiser Sheikh and Vice Chancellor University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences (UVAS) Dr. Talat Naseer Pasha at TEVTA Secretariat. Chief Operating Officer TEVTA Jawad Ahmad Qureshi, Head of Department of Meat Technology Dr. Muhammad Hayat Jaspal, TEVTA Officers Abdul Qayyum, Azhar Iqbal Shad, Akhtar Abbas Bharwana, Waseem Baig, Mustafa Kamal Pasha, Haroon Naseer, Muhammad Usman Ali, Ayesha Qazi, Sarfraz Anwar and others were also present on this occasion.

At this occasion, Chairperson TEVTA Irfan Qaiser Sheikh while addressing the participants said that this joint venture will increase employment opportunities for passing out students with better wages through capacity building in multi skills enabling them to compete at local and international level. Admission process will be conducted by District Manager Lahore. Middle pass will be eligible but matric pass candidates will be given preference to get admission. Two groups of 30 each trainees will be arranged in morning and evening shift. The existing curricula available at TEVTA will be implemented in consultation with UVAS. Trade Testing Board (TTB) will conduct the examination of all the students enrolled in the course and will issue the certificate to all successful candidates.
