ISLAMABAD (APP) - With ever increasing number of vehicles, in the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi, the residents are facing problems like traffic jams and lack of parking space. Most of the people park their vehicles on the roadsides that often lead to traffic jam. It has been found that people are facing parking problems at Aabpara, Karachi Company, Super Market, Jinnah Super, Weekly Bazaar G-6, Raja Bazaar, Commercial Market Saddar and at other places. The visitors at markets have to park their vehicles along the main road that not only creating traffic jams, but also resulting in accidents at times. Moreover, going for shopping to G-6 bazaar on motorbike is a nightmare, as they have to park their bikes either on footpath or on the roads. An official of CDA told APP that CDA was well aware of the problems being faced by the people and would try to address these problems. The CDA has also planned to construct parking lots in major markets of the city to ensure free flow of traffic, he said. He hoped this step would help overcome the parking problems in the bazaars.
