ISLAMABAD - Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) yesterday deplored the statement of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on issue of PIA privatisation what it said the PM used threatening language for the peaceful protesting employees of the airline. Secretary Information PTI Naeemul Haq said that the statement of Prime Minister was deplorable.

The Prime Minister in a direct reference to protesting PIA employees said here on Monday that those elements creating hurdles in the development of state institutions would be rejected.

“Prime Minister should know that democracy gives the right of difference of opinion and peaceful protest to the citizens,” he said, adding it was surprising that instead PM was giving threatening statements. The issues are resolved through consultation in any democratic set-up, he advised the premier. PTI secretary information also demanded of the government to immediately decrease prices of petroleum products in line with the prices of international market.
