The spate of target killings in Karachi is a matter of deep concern and abiding shame. The people being targeted are Muslims just as those who are targeting them supposedly are. Ironic that somebody has to take a bullet in his head just because his ideas are different from the one with the pistol in hand. This is as barbaric and brutal as it is anti-religion, for no religion in the world permits violence. This proves beyond doubt that we have no fear of God in us and we have forgotten the divine values of tolerance, patience and forgiveness. Islam means peace and it was through peaceful means that Islam was spread in the world. -ZEESHAN AHMED KHAN, Karachi, May 7.
