I think we first feel a thought and then experience it. And if we can control our thoughts then we can easily control our feelings as well. We make ourselves happy and unhappy simply because of this thought process. However the importance of keeping our emotions under control can hardly be denied under the present circumstances where the country is in the grip of multiple crises ranging from loadshedding to deteriorating law and order situation to rampaging inflation. One often observes that people in the street or in public places have become short tempered are ready to pick up a fight at the slightest of provocations. In fact vigilantism that often leads to tragic incidents is also a manifestation of this harmful tendency. Man is a rational being and can control his anger even under such dire conditions. We must try our best not to lose our cool when faced with such hostile situation.
