SARGODHA - Chaudhry Rizwan Gill, who had absconded from the court after he was sentenced to three years in prison in a fake degree case one week ago, voluntarily surrendered himself to the police.

Former MPA Rizwan reached the district court in a crowd of PML-N activists and presented himself to be arrested. The police held him and sent him to the district jail amid strict security. Meanwhile, the PML-N worker chanted slogans in favour of the ex-MPA who had been awarded three years imprisonment and Rs5,000 as fine by the District and Sessions Judge of Sargodha in the case.

Besides, District and Session Judge Abdul Sattar is hearing another fake degree case of former MNA Syed Javed Husnain Shah.

The statements of relevant returning officer and Higher Education Commission representatives had also been recorded.
