QUETTA - Balochistan Chief Minister Nawab Sanaullah Zehri has said that the law enforcement agencies will carry out combing operations anywhere in the province to eliminate terrorists.

Talking to media persons after visiting the injured at Civil Hospital Quetta on Tuesday, the chief minister said, “We are on the right side and will Inshallah win the war against terrorism.”

He said the government will fight till the last terrorist is eliminated and if anyone thinks that by murdering lawyers, journalists and civil society members they can create fear, then they are wrong. He said the blood of martyrs will not go waste. He said the terrorists have destroyed a generation of Balochistan.

Nawab Zehri said they will firmly stand against the terrorists. He said several arrests have been made after yesterday’s carnage but refused to disclose details.

In reply to a question, the chief minister reiterated that Indian intelligence agency RAW was behind the blast and said the government has provided proof of its activities in Balochistan.

He said the enemies of the state have no right to live here. He said the government will not compromise on people’s security. He praised the spirit of the people of Balochistan in general and the injured in particular.

He said the injured people asked the prime minister and the chief of army staff yesterday that they are with the government to eliminate enemies of the country.

Zehri said the Independence Day celebrations will not be cancelled despite the Quetta tragedy.

He said only the musical show on August 14 had been cancelled.

He said the attack on lawyers was planned. “Terrorists receive money from RAW through ‘Hundi’,” he said.

The CM said that they had nabbed and investigated terrorists. “The people responsible for the Quetta blast will be brought to justice at all costs,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Balochistan CM has transferred the Quetta CCPO.
