LAHORE - Lahore High Court Chief Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah yesterday said that the lawyers should leave blame game, because it was difficult time for judges and lawyers both; they have to stand up against their silent enemy.

The chief justice expressed these views while chairing a meeting on security issues of the courts. IGP and Home Secretary and other officials attended the meeting.

He asked the judges and lawyers to be united against their silent enemy and should leave blame game against each other. He declared ID card mandatory for entering the premises of the high court.

He said they have to make an equal system of security for all courts. The chief justice made a security committee comprising LHC registrar Khursheed Anwar Rizvi. He also made committee at district levels comprising districts and sessions judges and directed them to submit report after every fifteen days. 

The CJ also ordered the police to provide security to bar councils and bar associations.

PILAC cancels Azadi show

The Punjab Institute of Language Arts and Culture cancelled Independence Day celebration to be held on August 10 after the Quetta carnage in which 70 innocent citizens martyred in a terrorist attack.

In a press statement, PILAC said that Independence Day walk and Azadi Show which was going held has been cancelled.
