KARACHI - Opener Ali Asad and one down Asad Shafiq with good knocks batted Karachi Whites to safety on the penultimate day of the four-day Quaid Trophy match against KRL here at the NBP ground on Monday. The two stitched an electrifying 110 runs partnership in 132 minuets to steer Karachi Whites to 210 for the loss of one wicket in second knock. Ali Asad retired hurt with unbeaten 65 and Asad Shafiq was not out 84 and Khalid Latif was batting 43 when stumps were drawn for the third days play.
