QUETTA - Two settlers were gunned down and another wounded here on Wednesday night apparently in an incident of target killing, police said. Unidentified armed men riding a motorbike opened indiscriminate fire on a shop located in Shahbaz Town area of Quetta, killing two real brothers identified as Muhammad Iftikhar and Najamul Saqib and wounded Muhammad Umar seriously. Police and other law-enforcement agencies rushed to the site after being informed about the incident and moved the bodies and injured to Civil Hospital Quetta. Police said that apparently the incident seemed to be a case of target killing and investigations were underway to unearth real motive behind it. Quoting eyewitnesses, police said that the attackers were riding a motorbike and escaped under the cover of darkness after spraying the shop with bullets. Police handed over the bodies to heirs after completing legal formalities and started further investigation into the killings.
