LAHORE A 50-year-old landlord was found dead under mysterious circumstances at Kambooh Colony, in Chung polices precincts, on Thursday. Police investigators suspected someone from the victims own family might be involved. When we reached the scene, Lashkar Ali was unconscious and emitting poisonous liquid, a senior police officer said. A neighbour told the cops that the deceased had divorced his first wife over a family dispute some three years back and had married again. The police, quoting Alis second wife, said that some unidentified accused had barged into the home and victimized him. He fell unconscious and later died in the hospital. Sources in the [police] Investigation Wing, however, believed the woman was involved in the murder. We have recovered nothing tool or weapons, or other things to substantiate the torture story. Meanwhile, a 65-year-old man committed suicide by jumping in front of a tractor-trolley after his wife snubbed him over petty dispute. The incident occurred near Scheme Morr, in Sabzazaar area, on Thursday, police sources said. The neighbourers claimed that Baba Noor Mohammad would often quarrel with his wife. After having an exchange of harsh words with his wife, Baba Noor came out of the house and jumped in front of the tractor-trolley and suffered multiple injuries, they said. The police handed over the body to the heirs after completing necessary medico-legal formalities. No case was registered against anyone till filing of this report. ANOTHER REPORT ADDS: Thee persons, including two women, died in road accidents in different police precincts on Thursday. The 75-year-old Boota was hit by a speeding vehicle near Peco Road in Liaqatabad. He was rushed to the Jinnah Hospital where the doctors pronounced him dead. An unidentified old lady fell unconscious in a bus (Route No-12) due to suffocation and was shifted to the General Hospital where she breathed her last. In yet another incident, the 35-year-old Zubaida Bibi, a mother of three, was crushed by a speeding car.
