OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHORE - Dacoits struck 30 times here in the Punjab Capital on Monday, looted 20 houses, took away three cars and five motorcycles and snatched away cash, cellular phones, gold ornaments, and other valuables worth millions of rupees after holding the families hostage at gunpoint. As per details, armed bandits broke into the home of one Wasim Haider in South Cantonment police area and fled away after containing Rs 1.5 million. Dacoits forced their entry into the house of Sajid Ali in Kahna police area and made off with cash, cellular phones, gold ornaments, and other valuables worth Rs 1.3m after holding the inmates hostage at gunpoint. Armed gunmen looted cash, cellular phones, gold ornaments, and other valuables worth Rs 1 million from the house of Ajmal Khan in Satukatla while gunmen burst into the house of Mehmood Ali in Sanda police precincts and escaped after collecting cash, cellular phones, gold ornaments, and other valuables worth Rs 0.9m. Dacoits also looted cash, cellular phones, gold ornaments, and other valuables worth Rs 800,000 from the house of Ghafaar Ali in Misri Shah, Rs 800,000 from a resident Maqsood Ali in Township, Rs 700,00 from the house of Malik Ijaz in City Raiwind police area, Rs 500,00 from the house of Zulfiqar in Wahdat Colony, Rs 500,000 from the house of Faisal in Gulberg, Rs 500,000 from the house of Farooq Ahmed in Model Town police vicinity, Rs 500,0000 from the house of Javed Ahmad in Kot Lakhpat police area, Rs 500, 000 from the house of Niaz Ahmed in Iqbal Town, Rs 250, 000 from the family of Qaisar in Ghalib Market, Rs 200, 000 from Siddiqu and his family in Garden Town, Rs 700, 000 from the house of Nafees Ahmed in Batapur, Rs 500, 000 from the house of Saleem Ahmed in Chung, Rws 500, 000 from the house of Iftikhar Ahmed in Shahdara Town, Rs 300, 000 from the shop of one Sharafat in Baghbanpura, and Rs 200, 000 from the shop of Nawaz in Green Town were snatched respectively. Robbers barged into another six houses in Civil Lines, Mozang, Millat Park, Naseerabad, Gulshan Ravi and Qilla Gujjar Singh Lower Mallpolice areas respectively and escaped after collecting cash, cellular phones, gold ornaments, and other valuables worth hundreds of thousands of rupees at gunpoint. Moreover, about three cars and five motorbikes were lifted by gangsters/robbers in Gulberg, Faisal Town, Sabzazaar and Iqbal Town, Ghaziabad, Shahdara, Ravi Road and Liaqatabad police precincts respectively.
