LAHORE Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed of the Lahore High Court on Monday sought a report and para wise comments within two weeks from Punjab government, LDA and others on a petition challenging construction of Liberty Park & Ride Plaza and closure of public roads to facilitate the plaza. The petition has been filed by six shops owners at liberty market through counsel Muhammad Azhar Siddique contending that the transfer of open space to LDA for the purpose of constructing the plaza was illegal, based on malafides, unreasonable, and in violation of the fundamental rights enshrined in the constitution. The petitioners said the land was an open space owned by the PHA which illegally transferred to LDA.
