KARACHI - To end the dearth of teachers in the government-run colleges of the province, provincial secretary education Rizwan Memon distributed appointment letters amongst 596 lecturers of different subjects, who had already passed the Sindh Public Service Commission examination. In this regard a ceremony was held here in the auditorium of Sindh Secretariat. Sindh senior education minister Pir Mazharul Haq was scheduled to distribute the appointment letters, but he had to go to Islamabad along with Sindh chief minister, and Sindh education secretary Rizwan Memon and additional secretary Ramzan Awan distributed the orders. For the subject of English 60 appointment orders were handed over to male and 40 to female lecturers. For political science 9 appointment orders were handed over to male and 9to female lecturers. For Urdu 25 appointment orders were handed over to male and 15 to female lecturers. For Sindhi 16 appointment orders were handed over to male and 6 to female lecturers. For Physics 32 appointment orders were handed over to male and 7 to female lecturers. For Islamiat 10 appointment orders were handed over to male and 10 to female lecturers. For Chemistry 31 appointment orders were handed over to male and 28 to female lecturers. For computer science 31 appointment orders were handed over to male and 38 to female lecturers. For economics 24 appointment orders were handed over to male and 24 to female lecturers. For zoology 13 appointment orders were handed over to male and 10 to female lecturers. For botany 15 appointment orders were handed over to male and 5 to female lecturers. These lecturers have been posted as per the needs of colleges and domiciles of candidates. These lecturers were asked to get their posting orders from the office of additional secretary higher education, Sindh.
