RAWALPINDI - Anti Terrorism Court (ATC) Rawalpindi No 1 Monday extended judicial remand of former MNA Shah Abdul Aziz for 14 days after the police sought more time to complete investigation against him for his alleged involvement in the abduction and murder of Polish Engineer Piotr Stanczak who was kidnapped on September 28, 2008 from Attock. The ATC Judge Malik Ikram Awan extended the judicial remand of former MNA Shah Abdul Aziz after Attock police said that they needed more time to complete the investigation against the accused. The court directed the police to produce the suspect in the court on August 24 for further proceeding. Meanwhile, the former MNA also submitted an application in the court seeking his release on bail in the same case. In his bail application, Shah Abdul Aziz pleaded he was picked up by the agencies on May 27 and the authorities produced him on July 24 after wrongly linking him with the murder of Polish engineer. He further stated that he was also not nominated in the kidnapping and murder case of Piotr Stanczak. On this application, the ATC judge directed the police to present the record in this regard on August 17 and adjourned the case.
