ISLAMABAD - Secretary Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) Muhammad Asif Bajwa has submitted the documents regarding allegations of human trafficking to the fact-finding committee of the Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) here Monday. Deputy Director PSB, Dr. Akhtar Nawaz Gunjera, who is also head of facts-finding committee (FFC), told The Nation that three members committee was constituted to probe the human trafficking allegations leveled by former Olympians Mansoor Ahmed and Naveed Alam against Asif Bajwa. The committee was formed on the directions of Ministry of Sports. "The committee listened to secretary PHF Muhammad Asif Bajwa here and he replied many queries made by the three-man committee. Besides myself, Muhammad Azam Dar and Chaudhary Muhammad Yousuf are the other members of committee," he added. He further said that Bajwa also provided some important documents to the committee. "We will submit these papers and the report to Minister of Sports very soon. We have been asked to collect facts on human trafficking issue, as its was raised in the National Assembly Standing Committee on Sports in the last meeting that was held in the Parliament House two weeks back," he maintained.Responding to a question, Gunjera said that the committee had also taken views of former goalkeeper Mansoor Ahmed and fullback Naveed Alam. "The Committee interviewed Mansoor Ahmed on Sunday and Naveed Alam on Saturday, as both the players also gave us documents regarding the human trafficking allegations," he said.
