LAHORE - The Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) will celebrate Independence Day with national and traditional zeal and fervor by holding several activities including waving of national flags on office buildings, workshops and disposal sites; cutting of cakes, bringing of specially designed floats and fleets of machinery on roads, setting up of camps and waving of flags in the sky using aero plan at Minar-e-Pakistan. Managing Director Khalid Majeed along with management of Turkish companies will lead ceremonies to be begun from 13thAugust. National flag will be hoisted at LWMC head office building, 35 zonal offices, workshops along with cake cutting ceremonies in each site.

Especially designed Azadi floats and convoy of fleet will be brought on roads on 13th and 14th August to mark Independence Day and sensitize citizens on maintenance of clean and neat surrounding. LWMC, Albayrak and Ozpak will setup camps at Chairing Cross for jubilation and awareness purpose where gifts will be distributed among visitors.

Besides celebrations, special cleanliness arrangements will be ensured across the city particularly covering the major venues expected to be opted for Independence Day Celebrations by district government.

Senior Managers Operation Asif Aqbal and Suhail Malik will ensure the execution of cleanliness plan by monitoring of operation from the field.
