ISLAMABAD  -  Chairman All Pakistan Muslim League Dr Mohammad Amjad resigned from his post but did not list any reason for relinquishing the position he was given a few months back.

According to party spokesperson, Dr Mohammad Amjad submitted his resignation to the core committee of the party, which after accepting the resignation, has appointed Hadayat Ali Khashgai as acting chairman of the party.

The spokesman informed that now Dr Mohmmad Amjad, who had also held the position of central secretary general of the party, before assuming the position of chairman, would now just be looking after the legal side particularly the pending cases against former chairman and now patron-in-chief of APML Gen.(Retd) Pervez Musharraf.
