Our Staff Reporter MULTAN - Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Vice Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi declared on Saturday that a district workers convention would be held in Multan on February 8. Addressing the PTI workers during his visit to the district office of the party, he said that the convention would prove a milestone in PTIs movement against looters of national wealth. He added that the convention would fully change the political landscape of Multan district and abandon the role of many parties in future politics. He asked the PTI district office-bearers to finalize membership drive at union council level before February 8 to make the convention successful. He declared that the party would give appropriate status to those joining its ranks at this stage besides rewarding the old workers. He said that the workers would fully be backed by the party at all levels. He said that those having ideological attachment with the PTI were a precious asset of the party. He stressed upon the workers to stay united and avoid all such activities that could create rift in party ranks. Makeshift passport office for Qadirpur Raan Similarly, the federal government has given approval for setting up a makeshift passport office at Qadirpur Raan to win public support for upcoming by election. Sources claimed that the motive behind establishing this office was to win public support and ensure defeat of Shah Mahmood Qureshi in the coming poll. This seat became vacant after Shah Mahmood Qureshis resignation as he quit the party and gave up National Assembly membership. Rumors are in the air that Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilanis son Ali Moosa Gillani will contest election from this constituency. Sources further revealed that a special team of interior ministry officials carried out visit of Qadirpur Raan a few days back and acquired few shops on rent for the above said office.
