ISLAMABAD - PML-Q President Ch Shujaat Hussain Saturday ruled out possibility of martial law in the country saying the Army has no desire to come to corridors of power. Talking to newsmen, he said No one was going anywhere. Possibility of imposition of martial law stands ruled out. He held a single party could not steer the country out of crises. All the political parties and factions would have to face the challenges in unison so that country could be pulled out of critical times. Responding to a question, he said anyone could suffer illness. We pray for early recovery of President Asif Zardari, he added. President Zardari would return home after his recovery, he added. The upcoming Senate elections would take place as per schedule next year and his party was not fearful of these elections, he remarked. Democratic government should complete its tenure for stability of democratic order in the country, he underscored. PML-Q is our identity and this identity will be maintained at every cost, he vowed. He urged Balochistan government to play its role in connection with recovery of missing persons. To a question, he said meeting Nawaz Sharif had become old issue. PML-Q would field its candidate on the seat which had fallen vacant due to resignation of Shah Mehmood Qureshi, he maintained.
