Information Minister Fawad Hussain Chaudhary says the government has formulated its new advertisement policy and the next Wage Board will be announced within two months.

He was talking to the Journalists who staged a walk-out from the Press Gallery while covering the National Assembly Session in Islamabad on Tuesday.

He said the Federal and the Punjab governments have recently made millions of rupees of payments to clear the pending payments of various media-houses to secure the jobs of media workers.

The Minister said the government stands with the journalist community and will do everything possible to resolve their problems.

Fawad Chaudhary said there are over seven billion rupees of outstanding payments of various media-houses and these liabilities date back to the previous governments.

Earlier, the protesting journalists informed the Information Minister about dismissals of their colleagues from various media-houses and non-payment of their dues.
