LAHORE-Eminent journalist, academic and lexicographer Bashir Ahmed Qureshi passed away on Tuesday. He was 95. He is survived by his son Sarmad Bashir, former president of the Lahore Press Club, and daughter Nadia Saad.

Mr Qureshi started his career from Pakistan Times in the 1970s and also served as bureau chief for PPI and Dawn. His funeral will be taken from House No. 143, Block-II, Sector C-II, Township at 10am today (Wednesday)
