SADIQABAD - A Rahim Yar Khan Chamber of Commerce and Industry office-bearer dispelled the impression that work had not started at the Chamber Secretariat building.

“Construction work at the project has started and statements regarding the delay in starting work on the projects are a propaganda.” said RYKCCI’s Standing Committee for the Secretariat Building Chairman Mian Kashif Lateef while talking to the media.

On June 21, 2012, it was decided to start the building construction by utilising the available financial resources, at the Chamber’s executive committee meeting, he said.

He added that the its members including Muhammad Shafiq, Mian Shaukat and Mazhar Rasoo had endorsed the decision which was on the record. Now, he maintained, the criticism being expressed by the FBF against the executive committee was not comprehendible.

The chairman observed that the statements that for the provision of funds, the chamber administration’s negotiations had met with failure were also baseless.

He added that the administration was in constant touch with the Punjab government and every decision would be taken in its interest.

He disclosed that during the proposed visit of the Punjab chief minister to the district, he would lay the foundation stone of the building. On the occasion, Abdul Salam, the chamber committee member, termed such statements of their opponents based on falsehood, allegation and propaganda.
