LAHORE – The City Police booked PML-N Minister Chaudhry Abdul Ghafoor and 14 others on the charges of land grab, a private TV reported on Tuesday. Police sources added that the minister was booked on court orders.

The court of Additional District and Sessions Judge Ittefaq Abbasi summoned Ghafoor and 17 others on a petition seeking repossession of a plot allegedly grabbed by the minister and his accomplices.

In his petition, Yousaf Falooda Shop Owner Malik Jahangir told the court that he had bought the 17-kanal plot on Multan Road.

A few days ago, the minister along with his accomplices occupied the land illegally, he said, adding that he approached the police concerned but to no avail.

He appealed to the court to order the authorities concerned to help him get back his plot.

The court summoned the minister and the other nominated accused.
