PESHAWAR - Thousands of tribesmen will fully attend JI-sponsored sit-in and the long march on July 16 and 17 respectively against resumption of Nato supplies and the US drone attacks on tribal areas.

Speaking at a news conference at Press Club here on Tuesday, JI Fata Ameer Haroon-ur-Rasheed said that people of the country would never accept resumption of Nato supplies and killing of innocent tribesmen in the US drone attacks in FATA. So far, Pakistan has suffered a lot in the so-called war on terror after 9/11 when dictator Pervaiz Musharraf had blindly joined it. Pakistan has also suffered too much which is about $98 billion financially. Moreover, he said that so far about 40,000 and 50,000 Pakistanis have been killed and injured respectively.

Haroon Rasheed maintained that a total of 70,000 houses have been destroyed completely or partly while about five million people have been forced to migrate or live in IDPs camps, it is beyond that 80,000 tribesmen whose life also affected just because of the unrest in tribal areas.

He said that after Salala incident, Nato supplies were halted, but unfortunately, it were resumed which, he termed, a blunder. To vent anger against the government decision, JI has organized a sit-in and a long march on July 16 and 17, in which, hundreds of tribesmen would participate from FATA, he concluded.
