ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has urged civil servants to work for the development of the country by contributing their input.

He said this while talking to senior civil servants, who were recently promoted to grade 22, who met him here at the PM Secretariat today.

The prime minister congratulated the civil servants on their promotion while urging them to play a constructive role in taking the country forward through development.

Nawaz urged the civil servants to make the most of their experience to become a role model for their juniors besides delivering to the masses.

The prime minister said that they should think above their personal interest to take the country forward and make progress.

He also emphasized the need to form a team of talented and well reputed officials to implement the growth-oriented policy of the government.

“The PML-N government does not believe in favoritism and all the promotions have been made on merit over the last two years,” said the prime minister.
