Manchester: Tyres of a Pakistan International Airline plane ripped off, during landing at the Manchester airport today.

According to sources, the Boeing jet 777-PK 709 had flown from Lahore to Manchester and as soon as it touched the airport runway, its tyres burst causing slight damage to the aircraft.

The sources said that the PIA had to take help from a foreign airliner, to change the tyres to make it flyable. The sources said that the PIA technical staff failed to change the inflated tyres by their own.

The flight flew back after a delay of over 2 hours, the sources said.
