The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has failed to complete recruitments on 140 vacant posts in the civic authority during the caretaker setup.

The civic authority had planned to recruit new official on the vacant posts during the caretaker government to avoid political influence and pressure.

According to the officials of the civic authority, CDA received thousands of applications for the posts but their security could not be completed so far. Rather, the applications have been dumped in the basement of Jinnah Convention Centre.

With the formation of new government, the chances of political interference in the recruitments on the posts would increase. Keeping the scenario in mind, the CDA officials have packed the applications in bags without processing and dumped them in the basement of the Jinnah Convention Centre, the officials added.

The officials of enforcement division of the CDA foiled a bid to construct three houses on the land of the civic authority on IJP Road, besides demolishing the walls.

The team of the enforcement force led by Deputy Director Muhammad Iqbal also razed two kiosks in Sector I-10/3 and removed 10 tent huts from the green belt of the Double Road in Sector I-9. In the meantime, two illegal kiosks in Sector F-11, illegal stalls in wagon stand and one kiosk on Embassy Road in Sector G-6 were demolished by the enforcement department.  The enforcement also razed 10 tent huts in Sector I-8, besides demolishing boundary wall in Bari Imam area.–Online
