The Lahore Electric Supply Company has managed to provide uninterrupted power supply through better loadmanagement during the days of elections.

“There will be no loadshedding from Friday evening to Sunday morning,” said a spokesperson for Lahore Electric Supply Company.

All the power distribution companies (Discos) had been directed by the power ministry to not conduct loadshedding till Sunday morning and that electric supply to all industry would remain suspended during the period.

The Lahore Electric Supply Company along with other distribution companies had requested the subscribers/consumers of all tubewells, commercial and small industry to stop use of electricity during this period, so that the uninterrupted power supply to domestic consumers could be made possible.

“The Lahore Electric Supply Company chief executive has directed all the field officers to remain on duty in their respective offices during the elections,” the spokesman added.

The nation grid is facing around 5,500MW shortfall and the government has arranged an additional 1,500MW to the existing 10,000MW by providing some fuel to power plants.
