Parts of Punjab,  including the City received scattered rain on Friday, causing decrease in the mercury level in the evening. Experts have forecast partly cloudy weather with chances of scattered rains on Saturday.

 In Lahore, strong winds started blowing in the afternoon followed by scattered rain in the evening that continued intermittently at nighttime. Patches of clouds, strong winds and rains provided much needed respite to the Lahorites from the hot weather persisting for the last 2-3 days.  On Friday, maximum and minimum temperature in the City was recorded 41 degree Celsius and 25 C respectively. Relative humidity in the morning was recorded 45 per cent which decreased to 31 per cent in the evening.  According to the experts, a low lies over Balochistan and adjoining areas. A fresh shallow westerly trough is affecting upper/central parts of the country and would extend to upper parts on Saturday/Sunday.
