The Balochistan government has decided to take strict action against the staff that would not perform duty on the polling day.

As per spokesman of the government, all resources are being used for conducting free, fair and peaceful election. “The governmental has decided a strict action against the staffer who would remain absent from their duties during polls today,” he said, adding that the negligent staff would not only be dismissed from jobs but also be awarded imprisonment in accordance with the law. The government has informed the Election Commission of Pakistan about the decision, he said.

It may be mentioned here that the government employees had excused from performing election duties during after receiving threats from various banned outfits.

Meanwhile, CM Nawab Ghaus Bakhsh Barozai has said the government has taken all steps to ensure fair and free elections. “The elements creating lawlessness would be brought to justice, as the government is trying to ensure peaceful atmosphere during the electoral process,” he added.
