LAHORE The Pakistan Football Federation has requested the Asian Football Confederation not to ignore Pakistan in its 2010-11 calendar and allot it an international tournament. Talking to journalists here, President PFF Faisal Saleh Hayat said that it was unfortunate that due to security concern teams are not coming to Pakistan and major events are being shifted from here but still the Pakistan football is on the rise and its performance is improving. The standard of football in the country is enhancing day by day and both FIFA and Asian Football Confederation appreciated the games advancement in the country. Pakistan have got the large pool of footballers and the number is growing with each passing day. The AFC in recognition of PFFs fine display included us in Vision Asia through which we will get increased financial and technical support, Faisal told journalists at the Punjab Stadium where Dhaka-bound Pakistan probables faced Pakistan U19 team in the third Warm-up match. After beating KRL and PEL, Pakistan notched third straight win on Tuesday, brushing aside spirited Pakistan U19 team 1-0. The lone goal was scored by WAPDAs midfielder Mahmood Ali in the 37th minute of play, dispossessing keeper Muzammil Hussain with fierce drive from just outside the area. After the match Faisal Saleh Hayat was introduced to both the teams.
