PUNE (India) Pakistans 68-year-old Intikhab Alam has lost the counts on number of times he has returned to serve the team in crisis. Yes, honestly I dont remember that now, he admitted while speaking to this scribe from Lahore. In UAE, Alam will also be the member of the final eleven selection team. Manager on tour is always the part of the selection process and my experience working with the team as a coach will benefit the players this time, he said. It is a bit honour to manage the team and serve the nation, he signed off. Post-retirement Intikhabs involvement with Pakistan cricket has continued. The new manager, Alam also admits, Managing team (and Pakistan in particular) is indeed a difficult task and challenging one too. Knowing this and the fact that no overseas tour by his team is controversy-free, he has accepted the role. Well, I am an employee of the PCB and cant deny any role, he said. I shall continue to serve at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) on my return. I shall try my level best to bring players together and get the best out of them. I shall try to ensure that our home series against South Africa in Dubai and Abu Dhabi is not marred with any controversy, he added.
