LAHORE - Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) has planned to organise 2nd National Rescue Challenge competition among emergency services from all over the country to encourage and enhance professional standards to meet the new challenges. This event includes competition of Trauma Management, Swimming Championship, Fire-fight Challenges and Deep Well Rescue. The teams from divisional headquarters of Rescue 1122, Azad Jamu and Kashmir, Khyber PK, Sindh and many other organisations will be included in this event at Emergency Services Academy, Lahore from Monday (today) to October 13th. The participating teams will be evaluated in accordance with International Standard of Emergency Management during this event. The teams will be given difficult emergency scenarios and situations to respond. Rescue 1122 Rahim Yar Khan, the champion of 1st National Rescue Challenge, will defend the title. Director General Punjab Emergency Service Dr Rizwan Naseer said that such events were essential for creating healthy competition among the Rescuers.
