A Lahore-bound Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) plane made an emergency landing in Karachi on Friday, reported a private TV channel. According to a PIA spokesman, a bird had hit the planes engine after take-off, forcing the plane to land. The passengers will now leave for Lahore on another flight at 8pm. A number of PIA planes have developed faults during take-off in the recent past. PIAs Flight PK308 was forced to land in August after take-off from Karachi with over 390 passengers on board after its engine No 3 experienced severe vibrations near Nawabshah, forcing the pilot to divert the flight.
