PML-Q further told that the partys investigation team would also probe into the matter of 'diversion points of floodwater, as the machinery of the provincial government had breached the embankments from wrong sides, which caused devastating affects on the lives of huge number of people. The team would point out the responsible of this devastation especially in Rajanpur and other parts of the Southern Punjab in the upcoming flood white paper. They will demand of the provincial government for exemplary punishments to the responsible. While, the team would also pinpoint all the illegal breaches of embankments and dykes, informed the PML-Q sources. When contacted, Chaudhry Zaheeruddin, general secretary PML-Q Punjab and Opposition leader, confirming many portions of the information of this reporter claimed that the machinery of the provincial government had made the illegal breaches at Taunsa Barrage. In legal breaches, water pressure should be brought down by giving the water a way according to its natural flow, while in the case of Taunsa Barrage the mounting pressure of the water was diverted to another side that devastated the entire villages of Rajanpur and other vicinities in its surroundings. He maintained that manual of Taunsa Barrage should be read for a better understanding of the devastation in the surroundings of the barrage, as it was written in its manual that the officials at Taunsa Barrage had breached its embankments from wrong side and they should breached the other side of the embankments. Zaheer alleged PML-N leader Sardar Zulfikar Khosa for the diversion of water and breaching of wrong embankments just to save his fields, which devastated large portions of Dera Ghazi Khan and Rajanpur districts. He claimed that the incumbent provincial government had not held any meeting for the pre-flood arrangements.
