PEOPLE will drown Rehman Malik, if he tried to put hurdles. This was remarked by Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif during a media briefing at Mianwali on Friday, reported a private TV channel. Shahbaz alleged that Rehman Malik in a bid to defame the Punjab government had stopped NADRA from working. I warn Rehman Malik and ask him to keep from doing such things, he added. He further said that he was thankful to the Prime Minister who had checked Rehman Malik from interference. He said relief funds collection had reached about Rs800 million and vowed to take it up to billions. APP adds: Shahbaz Sharif distributed Watan Visa Cards among victims of flood-hit areas in Mianwali. Addressing on the occasion, he said that all possible measures would be taken for flood-affected people and in this regard, available resources would be utilised to mitigate their sufferings. While paying tributes to the people and administration for participating in relief activities and rehabilitation of flood-stricken people, the CM said spray was being carried out to avoid spreading of any epidemic in the flood-ravaged areas. He said 600,000 to 700,000 mineral water bottles had been distributed by the Punjab government among the victims of flood-hit areas. Shahbaz said Rs10,000 were given by federal government and an equal amount was shared by Punjab government for affected people which was distributed through Watan Cards. Earlier, he distributed Watan Cards among 300 families suffered by the floods. He said Watan Cards would also be provided to flood victims of Esa Khail and Kalabagh.
