WELLINGTON (AFP) New Zealand skipper Daniel Vettori has been named his countrys player of the year at a ceremony in Auckland. New Zealand Cricket chief executive Justin Vaughan said the accolade late Thursday was the second consecutive year Vettori had picked up the award and the fourth time in six years. Daniel is and has been a consistently excellent performer for New Zealand over a long period... he has been a force in all forms of the game, Vaughan said.
