LAHORE PML-N Chief Nawaz Sharif has said that the holy month of Ramazan this year requires from us to extend all possible help the brethren and sisters who have braved the devastations of the worst deluge of the countrys history and who must be rehabilitated as the top national priority, says a handout issued on Tuesday. Felicitating the people on the advent of the holy month of Ramazan, Nawaz Sharif said the rehabilitation of millions of the flood-hit people is more of a test for the unaffected people than those who withstood, the wrath of torrential rains and ensuing garrulous floods that have ravaged the entire country making millions to suffer. This calls for sacrifice and penitence that exactly is the philosophy of Ramazanul Mubarak, the message said adding that We will have to rise above provincial bounds and demonstrate the national spirit in helping the destitute who are Pakistanis first and last; we have to show the same fortitude as we demonstrated during the 1992 floods, Oct 2005 earthquake and rehabilitation of population that had gone displaced in the aftermath of the fight against religious extremism and terrorism in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and elsewhere in the country. I myself and members of my party are out to extend all possible help to flood affected people and our objective holds us bound with the suffering people with the purpose that we will ensure that the last of the affected people returns home in safety, the message said.
