Pakistani scientist Mujtaba Ikram, who belongs to Toba Tek Singh, on Monday left for Italy to attend a workshop on 'innovative energy technologies and international meeting for sustainable future' to be held at Trieste, Italy.

Mujataba, who is studying at National University of Science and Technology, Islamabad, said that the World Academy of Sciences had invited scientists, policymakers and diplomats from all over the world especially from developing nations to attend the workshop.

He is one of the 10 scientists from the world invited by The World Academy of Sciences. He said that the event aimed to open discussions between the scientific and policy-making to share scientific knowledge to solve problems in the different parts of the world.
